Margaret Macomson
Nurse Practitioner
Margaret is a Board Certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner who has worked in the medical field for over 13 years. She graduated from UNCG with her Bachelors in Nursing in 2014, Cum Laude with honors. Graduation led to 4 exciting years in the Neurology ICU at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital (now Atrium) while attending school part time, soon graduating from Duke University with her Masters in the Science of Nursing, Summa Cum Laude.
Since 2019, she has been working with UNC Healthcare, focusing on adult neurologic and cardiology care. Margaret received specialty training in Medical Weight Loss Management and Male/Female Hormone Management. Her goal is to continue training in medical aesthetics, fitness, and nutrition, staying up to date on all the best treatment options.
Her passion lies with exercise and nutrition, as well as practicing what she preaches. In her free time, Margaret enjoys traveling and running half marathons. Her goal is to run a half marathon in all 50 states. She started running marathon running at age 36, and ran a full 26.2 mile marathon on her 40th birthday, proving it is never too late to change your body and mindset.

Sarah Parker
Nurse Practitioner
Sarah Parker is a Board Certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, who has worked in the medical field for 10 years. Sarah completed her Bachelors in Nursing Science in 2016 from Ramapo College of New Jersey, where she graduated Cum Laude with honors. Sarah went on to work at Duke University Hospital on both the neurosurgical step-down unit and in the Transfer Center. She worked full time during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic while completing her Master’s in Nursing from Duke University School of Nursing.
She completed her Master’s in 2020 and went to work at the Duke ALS Clinic. She then moved on to UNC Neurology in 2023, where she currently practices in General Neurology.
She was awarded the Elaine Kopp Rising Star Award in nursing from the Ramapo College chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, the nursing honors society, in 2017 for outstanding early career achievements in nursing. She continues to push herself to learn more, expand her horizons, and explore new avenues of patient care.
Sarah has completed specialized training in weight management, nutrition and hormone therapies. She is passionate about preventative care and using the latest evidenced based methods to help patients achieve their wellness goals.
In her free time, Sarah likes to experiment with healthy recipes in the kitchen. She enjoys trying new recipes, as well as creating some herself.
